BL 1th: 2001 FXSTB Custom
This vehicle… was the very first fully customized car we built at BAD LAND—a truly memorable milestone. If I recall correctly, we started working on it around the second half of 2001 and finished it around March 2002.
The front and rear wheels feature billet aluminum wheels manufactured by Rick’s Motorcycles in Germany. Incidentally, the rear is fitted with a 240-size tire. The front forks are made by SJP in the Netherlands. And for the all-important wide-tire kit, we selected a product from UHS in Germany. For the air cleaner cover, we chose a product from REBUFFINI in Italy that had just been released at the time… and so on—we used only the most cutting-edge European products available at that time.
As we actually proceeded with the production, I was repeatedly amazed by the precision and high quality of each individual European-made part, and I still clearly remember how I renewed my resolve to “continue as a specialty shop for Eurostyle Custom.”
It was also this vehicle that inspired us to seriously take on projects like modifying the stock gas tank and creating a one-off rear fender… In that sense, too, it’s the car that can be called the origin of today’s BAD LAND.
The owner lives near our shop, and we’re truly grateful that he still cherishes and drives this car just as it is today. The other day, he brought it in for maintenance for the first time in a while, and we replaced the front wheel bearings. After more than 20 years, being able to work on this vehicle again… it was a deeply moving moment.
