IZANAGI
1999 EVO SOFTAIL 330 WIDE TIRE
This vehicle has been named IZANAGI. It’s based on the final model of the 1999 Evolution. The engine has been swapped out for an Evolution engine with a displacement exceeding 2,000 cc, delivering overwhelming torque to the road the moment you twist the throttle.
The front features 3D billet aluminum front forks manufactured by Goldammer in Canada. The front and rear wheels are made by No Limit Custom in Germany, and the rear is fitted with a massive, size 330 wide tire. Whether viewed from the side or from the rear, the sheer volume of the rear end defines the bike’s overall imposing presence.
By this point, we had started crafting every major component—from the front and rear fenders to the gas tank, handlebars, and exhaust—as one-off pieces at BAD LAND. Rather than simply combining off-the-shelf parts, we shaped them with our own hands. I remember how we went through a daily process of trial and error, striving to solidify the BAD LAND style through this approach.
I recall that it was built around 2007 or 2008. While using a Euro-style custom as our foundation, we wanted to imprint our own identity onto it. Driven by that single-minded determination, both I and the staff focused entirely on the task at hand, devoting ourselves to each and every bike. Looking back at this bike now, the passion and dedication of those days come through clearly in every last detail.
