About the Work
TORSION 01
Heat the iron, apply force, and twist it.
What was once straight gradually changes shape as it absorbs that force.
"TORSION " refers to the "twist" caused by a force applied to an object.
What we see here is not a spiral used for decoration.
It is the mark left by the force exerted on the iron.
Within the metal, which should be at rest,
traces of the heat, force, and motion that were once applied to it remain.
Within the frozen moment,
there is still movement that has not yet faded.
TORSION is a record of that quiet power.
